Spring has arrived in Tortoreto, the city awakens and, like every year in this period, the turtle doves return to coo on our seafront and in the alleys of our beautiful medieval village. Our city, thanks to its mild and temperate climate, has always been the favorite territory for the nesting of turtle doves. It is no coincidence that Tortoreto owes its name to this bird, in fact, its Latin translation, “Turturetum” means “place with many turtle doves”. In this period all of nature wakes up and offers us a wonderful show: the hills begin to be painted with green and bright colors, you can smell the scent of flowers in the air and the days get longer and longer! Spring has already arrived in our city and summer is now just around the corner!
