Church of Madonna della Misericordia

Perfectly in harmony with the panorama, located in the historic center, we find “The church of the Madonna della Misericordia”, built in 1347 in honor of the Virgin of Mercy to escape the plague that struck the whole of Italy in 1347

The composition of geometric elements and their structure create a harmonic architecture that recounts the Renaissance era. Inside the church of Madonna della Misericordia, it is possible to admire frescoes restored over time, returned to their original splendor, which depict various religious scenes including the cycle of frescoes on the theme of the Redemption of humanity.

As a backdrop to this church, simple on the outside but rich in history and precious art on the inside, we find the Panorama of Tortoreto, with its sea, its towers and the main door.
